@oldyzach TFTD has a special place in my heart and nightmares. But, can't play it on original disc, have to get one with fan patches so I don't softlock myself with research (seriously, why did Deep Ones have such a small window of appearance?)
There's more pals out there for us to catch, and only one goatbro that can do it! More Palworld today, see you there folks!

@memeslich 4th Edition was where I started my adventures in TTRPGs. I know it gets some polarizing reactions, but it holds a special place in my heart.
@ZaylUlRathma@memeslich Well, lead designers of 3rd and 4th editions left WotC and moved on to make 13th Age which I've only played a few sessions of many years ago. It did give me one of my favorite characters that I still occasionally use as an NPC in my current games.
@memeslich This is why session 0 is important. Gives everyone a chance to talk about what they're expecting from the game and discuss what kind of content we're having at the table. The goal is for everyone to have fun, not treat it like therapy or be a reason to go to therapy.
@tengusan09@memeslich I feel like that could be on the DM for not giving something for players to engage with, but there are some players that just don't get involved unless they're the center, and DnD isn't that great if only one person is the center of the story.
@memeslich I'd love to be a player again, but unfortunately I got the Forever DM curse. I've learned to live with it though and try to find joy in leading my friends through a story and putting on silly voices for everyone they encounter.
@memeslich Yeah, I can agree with this. Rangers hang in this limbo of "Serviceable but can be outshined by another class being specialized". I think it's better off being something that you multiclass into rather than being on it's own with subclasses.
@DarkOddCon It was a great movie to be honest, Karl Urban did a great Judge Dredd. But, this was at the start of the mass reboot era which people hated, and too many people were expecting a cheesy action flick similar to Stallone's Dredd, and I think these elements are why it flopped.
@SmekkyBoybutGal@MasterGir The game is called VEIN. Currently an Early Access game on Steam. Definitely rough around the edges and pretty far from being a complete game, but I've had some fun with it.
@memeslich I like offering loot other than just coin and equipment. Things like trade goods, historical artifacts, artwork, and such. Gives them something to think on or to have for trophy collection, because not every town would buy a pile of worn chain mail shirts and old daggers.
@memeslich You're not exactly wrong, but I think Paladin is a better beginner class. It kinda touches on just about everything and teaches class resource management such as Lay on Hands, Divine Smite, and spell slots.
@RazorwireRPG Kind of a toss-up between Charon and Fawkes. Charon is a surgeon with the combat shotgun, but Fawkes can clear a crowd with the Gatling laser.
@poison029 Autism itself is actually manageable, so that argument doesn't work. It was the lack of actual guidance from his parents, the near unmitigated access to the internet, and the wild west that was mental health care during his childhood that lead to Chris' degradation.
@MoniqueMonsters Owls, such wondrous creatures. And a good choice of Owl since these ones can look rather... Spooky. If these are going into VotV, as a heads up, these ones don't hoot, they screech.
