Hey all Xanadu Dictator aka VGBC | Aposl here. It’s with a heavy heart that I have to say Xanadu will be closing at the end of December. We initially expected much more time in the lead up to Xanadu closing but due to unforeseen circumstances Xanadu will be closing its doors December 31st! I just want to take this moment to thank this region and the communities I have had the privilege of helping grow and the players that I have the honor to call my friends. I love what Xanadu is and what it stands for: community, competition, and a good time! And, when it comes to the different gaming communities - I know those things will live on through each of you, the players!

Even though this marks the end of an era, we want to go out with a bang! We will be running Xanadu until December 28th. We plan on running our weeklies till the end and one last Monthly for our different gaming communities, including: Melee, Ultimate, FGC, & Rivals!

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥?

Simply put, our contract with our venue has always had a clause in it where we could be given a month’s heads up before we had to vacate the premises. That clause was activated in a recent email from our landlord's lawyer where we were asked to vacate by the 31st of December.

𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘴𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘴 𝘶𝘱?

The company we had a contract with is ceasing to exist. We were aware that this was happening but during our conversations with management we were told we would have more time in the space leading into 2025. Now that the new management is starting to take over, we have been met with a legal request to begin the conclusion of the business being conducted on the premises. In short, the new management is evicting us strictly based on our contract terms even though we were under the impression we would have more time.

𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘟𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘥𝘶 𝘣𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦?

At the time we did not have plans to do so. MJC has been a valuable partner as they have provided us with amazing venue space at a sweetheart deal. Re-creating this in another venue (while not completely impossible) is unlikely. If such an opportunity were to make itself known to us we would undoubtedly consider it.

@LuuDoBeGaming + frames on block und somit pressure extendn kann. Hierbei ist das rps entscheidend welches so ziemlich jeder character gleich angehen muss. Je nach MU könnte Option X besser als Y sein, aber weil diese interactions zum Großteil gleich sind across the board ist es in SF (5/nunja)

Akuma blockt Eds standing heavy punch, welcher -3 (unpunishable, keiner hat frame 3 moves) und special cancelable ist, womit er sich ne safe blockstring craften kann oder mit etwas risiko für (4/idk)

@LuuDoBeGaming Dair ein punish. Wenn Rob jedoch nicht drifted und über joker bleibt können upair und nair funktionieren. Bei drift away funktionieren nair und fair. Allein die Komplexität und das requirement von sehr schnellem, intuitiven decision making macht es hart, chars zu switchen (3/4?)
