The first K30,000 you collect from rent over an entire year is completely tax-free. That means if you charge K4,000 per month, you collect K48,000 in rent over the year, but the first K30,000 of that K48,000 is not taxed at all.

You only pay 4% tax on the remaining K18,000. That comes to K720 for the entire year, or just K60 per month.
