In the rec those same players will go 9/10 or perfect. Rec sliders are absolute dog water — same as the park.

Most comp players with 99 3 usually shoot around 60% vs the best lockdowns in the world

If you are shooting wide open with a 99 3PT rating and maxed badges then you should have a big absolute green window.

My percentages are if you look at a 2K player card — the elite players should have those ranges.

The average player will be much less.

It’s impossible to give percentages without a ton of context, no knowing defense, etc.

The community does not know shit… fortunately (myself included), I think you know this.

Just give us some real balance so that multiple playing styles are available. Let’s assume 99 attribute, hot spots, etc.

The BEST 3PT shooting should be 60% on Wide Open with full badges. Then 65-70% with takeover. Then 75% with two-way.

Moving 3s should be half of that.

Mid range should be ~70%.
80% Take
85% two-way

The difference between an Elite Shooter and Average shooter should be ~20% in a video game.

Answering this question in a vacuum is very difficult because we have no idea how capable the defense is. If the defense is super punishing, then the offense needs to be rewarded for creating shots.

Anyways — the threat of a wide open 3PT shot should be high, but never guaranteed.

Remove brain dead one button dribble moves which create open looks (dbook) — or add a counter.

There needs to be real build tradeoffs — tall builds can’t do it all again (and I’m a tall build merchant). Small builds cannot have overpowered offense without getting finessed on defense.

Give us some balance so we can bring unique lineups onto the court without always going straight PNR/3hunt. The comp scene is very lousy to watch — 2K league also sucked because of this — there needs to be multiple ways to attack defense. Matchups/Codes will quit out of non PNR games because there is a perceived imbalance in 5-Out. The 5-Out becomes less effective when the 3PT is expensive and not guaranteed for 73-83 3PT center/BE.

Attacking the paint should be dangerous if there is a real shot blocker in the area. Dunking on smaller/weaker players should be as effective as mid range shooting. Not realistic but adds versatility (I think last year was solid, but the meter sucked sometimes which has been addressed).

Layups need big buff — and not just floater cheese. Layups should have big green windows just like dunking, especially against weaker inside defenders.

I think offensive rebound needs to be EXPENSIVE. Physicality in the paint is important — high block should be rewarding, but expensive.

Passing was too expensive last year because it was too easy to score. Bring back a big dimer boost to encourage versatile playmaking.

Kinda just typed this out on the fly — these are SOME of my morning thoughts.

Just whatever you do… please break the ball dominant guard, 2BH, Lock, BE, PNr C meta…

Give us some worthwhile options without an overpowered ball dominant guard. Give us some strategy…

Choc is an incredible 2K player, unfortunately he doesn’t seem very trustworthy — bots his viewers, questionable gameplay (zenning?), and just his attitude make him an easy dude not to support.

He’s also a top top 2k player who doesn’t need to cheat… but he got that ick bout him
