Anti-ICE activists are protesting outside the Luminary Hotel in downtown, claiming federal agents are staying there.

Let me get this straight:
ICE is doing its job.
Enforcing immigration law.
Removing people who are in the country illegally.

And the response is to harass a hotel and try to pressure it into refusing service to federal officers.

This is the mindset:
Law enforcement = the enemy.
Illegal presence = protected.

Florida is not a sanctuary state.

Southwest Florida has been leading the state in immigration enforcement for a reason.

ICE agents deserve a place to sleep just like any other federal officers doing their duty.

The people who should be uncomfortable are the ones who entered and stayed illegally, not the men and women enforcing the law.

Two of 3 judges on the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit have sided with the Trump administration and have refused to dismiss the DOJ case against Rep. LaMonica McIver, D-N.J.

McIver has been charged with 3 counts, including assaulting and impeding federal officers.

McIver, seen below in the red jacket, is accused of assaulting federal law enforcement officers outside of Delaney Hall Detention Center in May of 2025.
