Hello Anita. We can assure you that the notification is not in any way connected to the plugin and the problem has been fully resolved.
As for the plugin itself - it's non-intrusive, it stays idle, unless the user specifically goes to it's interface and starts using it.
You can deactivate/delete it from your Dashboard, or get in touch with our support team if you need help deactivating in on multiple websites.
We are currently investigating reports of an intermittent issue affecting email services for some clients. Our team is working to resolve this with the highest priority.
