Celebrated Zimbabwean vocalist Vusa Mkhaya will perform at the German Africa Award ceremony to be held at the Allianz Forum in Berlin on the 26th of November.

Mkhaya will deliver a specially curated performance as a duo, accompanied by acclaimed Austrian pianist Roland Guggenbichler, presenting a powerful blend of Zimbabwean vocal excellence and world-class piano artistry.

The German Africa Award, presented annually by the Deutsche Afrika Stiftung (German Africa Foundation), is one of Europe's most distinguished honours, recognising exceptional African leaders and changemakers. Since its establishment in 1993, the award has celebrated individuals who have made outstanding contributions to democracy, peace, human rights, sustainable development, scientific innovation, culture, environmental protection, and social progress.

This year's ceremony will also honour Namatai Kwekweza, an outstanding young Zimbabwean activist whose work in defending constitutionalism, human rights, and youth political participation has earned international acclaim. Her leadership through the WELEAD Trust continues to inspire a new generation of civic actors across the continent.
