Why do the Githeri Media and the Kenyan chatterers like to celebrate nothing?

How can any sensible person shout about a “booming economy” when more than 65% of our youth are either unemployed or underemployed?

How can anyone yell about the benefits of “tough times” when Kenyan farmers use donkey droplets and pebbles as fertilizer?

How does a country which spends billions of money it doesn’t have on foreign junkets, tea and Rolex watches for CSs, PSs and state apparatchiks but is unable to provide healthcare for its citizens and pay healthcare workers, yet tries to export the few nurses it needs, speak of a booming economy?

How does a country speak about a “turnaround” when plunderers who stole more than KES 2.5 TRILLION and stashed it abroad are living like monarchs while university and college graduates are homeless and hardly have one meal a day?

Governments and countries with 7% unemployment rate in other continents face electoral defeat while Kenyans celebrate 65% of unemployment! What kind of curse and spell are we under?

Let us be serious, and stop exhibiting our primitivity to the world by celebrating nothing.

We must focus on solving our people’s intractable problems, starting with the cascading ROT in all our institutions of governance!
