couldn’t understand why anybody would list an Azuki below 1 ETH
so I decided to take a closer look at what Zagabond has been shipping lately.
one look at @animedotcom and @animecoin and I immediately pulled the trigger.
consistent positioning matters and Azuki is THE no.1 anime collection in the whole of crypto.
I finally found my way into the garden.
by the way, these collector profiles go so hard.
perfect pfp to go with my new found love for data driven crypto content, still rough around the edges but I will master it in due time.
you are welcome to join me on that journey.
Happy Halloween 🎃⛩️
whenever a triple aaa title flops.
the criticism is always the same:
“the developers have no clue what the gamers want”
“the game is so boring”
“the game is poorly optimized”
these complaints are valid because most games are a sealed box.
once it ships only the original developers can modify it.
now i’ve noticed people tend to extend these complaints to the @OthersideMeta
but here’s the difference.
otherside isn’t a sealed box.
it can run on literally any machine via streaming.
it’s built from the ground up for community modification from day one.
stop saying “otherside isn’t for me.”
start saying “what can i build in the otherside that is for me or my friends or my region.”
that mindset shift is the seismic change that will take the otherside from:
“a place to hangout”
to
“a place to have fun and compete against other players.”
“from a place to grind rewards”
to
“a place to enjoy gaming after work.”
i already see that future for the platform, i’ve seen it since @tropicalvirtual session on the first vibecode camp episode with @ryancsmith2222
but we need every member in the club to see it that way and that’s what “meet the maker” spaces on wednesdays with @imjameshall is for.
we had it before with the @TheRenderPool but now we have it in official capacity.
it’s not some side thing, it’s the future of the platform.
unity and unreal engine are household names today but it wasn’t always that way, decades of effort empowering indie developers made it possible.
otherside isn’t no different.
so maybe next time you log on to the platform and spawn in the nexus, don’t just leave.
take a good look at it and think to yourself
“what do i wish i could do here?”
“what game would i love to play right now?”
go back to the landing page, click the odk button at the bottom right and get familiar with the tools and start working on what you want to play.
it’s not the team that makes other side better, it’s we the players that make otherside better.
don’t take it from me, take it from the otherside website.
i spend more time on that page than any other section of the @OthersideMeta
just some thoughts i had while fleshing out new game ideas earlier today.
build the games you want to play, host the events you want to attend, add the languages you and your people understand.
and the best part is whatever game you build you can use your assets in them.
otherside is what we make it.
yes, teamwork is crucial.
there’s a reason most games even indies are made by at least 3 developers.
but foundational knowledge makes recruitment and onboarding easier since winning people over to work on your vision or game idea takes telling them why your idea is the one to pursue and for investors the one to finance and back.
these areas are where deep knowledge of the engine will really shine.
because you know the tools better than most and have outsized advantage on how to get the most of out of said tool in a relatively shorter timeframe.
but baby steps hanna, baby steps.
love seeing how far you’ve come and how you clearly you’ve been breaking down your journey so others can follow along 🫶
otherside is what we make it.🫡
brick by brick.
you can’t pour from an empty cup.
taking on more unreal engine courses to increase my knowledge of unreal and how to best work with the odk built on top of it.
builders build, otherside is what we make it.
meet the makers weekly space is going live next week don’t miss it for the world.
heard apes were bored to death this bear market.
came up with a solution: apes miami.
express your frustration in this 3d multiplayer arena brawler set in the @othersidemeta
these grumpy monkeys had one drink too many after a crappy day at the clubhouse.
throw down against other apes, buy bling, bump rap music and rep your background in this beat em up’ style game.
made with the odk and unreal engine 5.
@SixRevolt@OthersideMeta@apecoin@ApeChainHUB@BoredApeYC@yugalabs Yeah absolutely, requires a tone of knowledge and passion, and time, and maybe more than 2 hands 🤣 trying to implement things I learn, give it practical use, take notes and just keep moving with those tiny steps. 🙈🫡🙌
Almost a week in the club and I’m wondering if apes follow apes?……
I just bought my 4️⃣th today!
Don’t leave me lonely.
Move over- let me in!
