On the night of September 13, 2007, Navy SEAL Lieutenant Jason Redman was commanding an assault force outside Fallujah, Iraq, on a mission to seize a senior member of Al-Qaeda.

As his team closed in, they walked into a well-laid ambush. Machine gun and small arms fire opened up, and Redman was hit repeatedly. Rounds tore into his left elbow, then a bullet punched through his jaw and exited his nose. In all he was struck seven times.

Even after being shot, he kept fighting with his teammates. With almost no cover, they requested a “danger close” strike from an AC-130 gunship, one of the closest fire missions of the Iraq War. The aircraft’s guns broke the ambush. Every man on the team made it out alive. For his actions that night Redman received the Bronze Star with Valor and the Purple Heart.

Recovery at Bethesda Naval Medical Center was long and brutal: 37 surgeries, some 1,200 stitches, 200 staples, and 15 skin grafts, and a tracheotomy. He lost his sense of smell and much of the use of his left arm.

He refused to accept pity. On his hospital door he posted a bright orange sign: “Attention to all who enter here. If you are coming into this room with sorrow or to feel sorry for my wounds, go elsewhere… This room you are about to enter is a room of fun, optimism, and intense rapid regrowth.”

The message spread far beyond the ward. President George W. Bush invited Redman to the Oval Office. The original sign now hangs in the Wounded Warrior ward at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, a standing reminder of the same resolve that brought his team home.

Did you know that the message Yeshua came to deliver was hard to comprehend even for many of His followers?

When you grow up in a world that defines sin by its own rules and removes the need for repentance and a personal relationship with God, the message of salvation by grace through faith can be difficult - even offensive.

Why?

Because it requires us to admit that there is nothing within our own good works that can save us.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9

Religion has always tempted man to believe that human effort and good deeds can earn God’s attention, forgiveness, and acceptance. That same thinking had deeply affected many during the time of Yeshua.

But Yeshua came with a very different message.

At one point, many of His followers found His teaching too difficult to receive - particularly His message about the necessity of giving His body and shedding His blood.

“Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, ‘This is a hard saying; who can understand it?’”
John 6:60

In their minds, Messiah was supposed to reign - not die.

He was supposed to bring peace, prosperity, and the restoration of Israel - surely not die in humiliation on a Roman cross while Israel remained under harsh occupation, with another destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple soon to come, followed by an even longer exile.

Yeshua never forces anyone to believe. He even challenged His own disciples to decide whether they would stay or leave, as many others had already done.

“From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. Then Yeshua said to the twelve, ‘Do you also want to go away?’”
John 6:66-67

Then came Peter’s great confession of faith - words that have resonated with me many times during difficult seasons throughout my life:

“Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
John 6:68-69

His message is clear - there is a price that had to be paid for our sins.

He gladly paid it.

There is no way around it.

Salvation cannot be understood without acknowledging why He came. He was born sinless, yet He died for us and rose again.

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8

Yes, the resurrection is the key - but without His death there would have been no resurrection.

You cannot believe in a resurrected Messiah without believing that He had to die - and understanding why He died.

It wasn’t the Jews who killed Yeshua.

It was all of us.

Our sins put Him there.

The verse that changed my life when I was not even 18 years old, contemplating taking my own life, was Isaiah 53:6:

“All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

Think about this - Isaiah wrote these words hundreds of years before Yeshua came and fulfilled them.

The cross was not an accident. It was not a failed plan. Long before Yeshua was born, God had already revealed through the prophet that Messiah would bear our sins.

Yeshua didn’t die accidentally.

He came to do the perfect will of the Father.

Hours before His death, He prayed:

“Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.”
Luke 22:42

And hundreds of years before Yeshua fulfilled it, Isaiah had already written:

“But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5

So if you are down today, remember this - a price was paid for your salvation.

You are no longer on death row if you repent and believe.

“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:13

🔥 GOG & MAGOG 2.0 — THE FINAL REBELLION AGAINST THE KING

For 1,000 years, humanity will experience the greatest government this earth has ever known.

Not democracy.
Not monarchy as we know it.
Not socialism.
Not capitalism.

The world will be ruled by the only perfectly righteous King who has ever lived.

Jesus Christ will reign.

📖 “The LORD will be king over all the earth.”
— Zechariah 14:9

Justice will not be corrupted.

Truth will not be manipulated.

The weak will not be forgotten.

The wicked will not escape judgment through money, influence, or power.

📖 “With righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth.”
— Isaiah 11:4

Jerusalem will become the spiritual and governmental center of the world.

📖 “For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
— Isaiah 2:3

God says:

📖 “I have returned to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.”
— Zechariah 8:3

The nations will experience peace on a scale history has never known.

📖 “They shall beat their swords into plowshares… nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.”
— Isaiah 2:4

Even creation itself will experience remarkable restoration.

Isaiah describes the wolf dwelling with the lamb, the leopard lying down with the young goat, and the earth being filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

This is the Millennium.

Christ reigning.
Jerusalem exalted.

Justice established.

Peace spreading across the earth.
And Satan?

Bound.

Revelation 20 tells us that Satan will be imprisoned in the abyss for the thousand years so that he cannot deceive the nations.

Think about what that means.

For 1,000 years humanity will live under the best government the earth has ever known—

and some will still hate the King.

Because when the thousand years are finished, God permits something astonishing.

Satan is released.

📖 “When the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations.”
— Revelation 20:7–8

And almost immediately, rebellion erupts.

Satan gathers an enormous multitude from across the earth.

John gives them an unmistakable name:

Gog and Magog.

📖 “Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.”
— Revelation 20:8

This is what we might call:

GOG & MAGOG 2.0

It is not the same invasion described in Ezekiel 38–39.
Ezekiel describes Gog coming against Israel in an earlier prophetic event.

Revelation 20 explicitly places this rebellion after the thousand-year Kingdom.

Different battle.

Different age.

Same ancient rebellion against God, His people, and His purposes.

The imagery is deliberate.

In Ezekiel, nations gather against Israel.

God intervenes supernaturally.

His holiness is displayed before the nations.

📖 “I will show My greatness and My holiness and make Myself known in the eyes of many nations.”
— Ezekiel 38:23

At the end of the Millennium, the pattern appears one final time.

The nations gather.

Jerusalem is surrounded.

God’s people appear threatened.

And God Himself intervenes.

📖 “They marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city.”
— Revelation 20:9

Notice what Jerusalem is called.

The beloved city.

After thousands of years of controversy surrounding Jerusalem…

after invasions…

exiles…

wars…

persecution…

and attempts to erase Israel’s connection to Zion…

Scripture still calls Jerusalem:

the beloved city.

But the final rebellion does not become a long war.

There is no suspense.

No geopolitical stalemate.

No battle strategy capable of saving Satan’s armies.

📖 “Fire came down from heaven and consumed them.”
— Revelation 20:9

God ends it.

Immediately.

And then something happens that humanity has waited for since Genesis 3.

The deceiver himself is finally removed forever.

📖 “The devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire.”
— Revelation 20:10

Think about the enormous biblical arc.

Genesis begins with the serpent deceiving humanity.

Revelation ends with the deceiver judged forever.

The enemy introduced in Eden reaches his final destination.

The rebellion that began in the garden is finished.

And yet the final revolt teaches us something deeply sobering about humanity.

For centuries people have argued that human evil is primarily caused by environment.

Bad government.

Poverty.

Oppression.

Lack of education.

Unjust systems.

Even satanic influence.

But the Millennium removes virtually every excuse.

Imagine it.

Perfect government.

A perfectly righteous King.

Justice administered without corruption.

Peace among the nations.

Truth flowing from Jerusalem.

Satan imprisoned.

And still, when Satan is released, multitudes willingly follow him.

Why?

Because humanity’s deepest problem has never merely been the world around us.

It is the condition of the heart within us.

📖 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick.”
— Jeremiah 17:9

The Millennium demonstrates something extraordinary:

A perfect environment cannot produce a perfect heart.

Humanity does not merely need better circumstances.

We do not merely need better leaders.

We do not merely need better laws.

We need something only God can give.

📖 “I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you.”
— Ezekiel 36:26

That is why the final rebellion is so revealing.

Some will have lived under the visible reign of Messiah and still choose rebellion.

The problem was never the King.

The problem was never His Kingdom.

The problem was the unregenerate heart.

But rebellion does not get the final word.

Satan does not get the final word.
The nations do not get the final word.

The King does.

📖 “Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power.”
— 1 Corinthians 15:24

History is not moving toward chaos.

It is moving toward a throne.

The serpent will be silenced.

The rebellion will be crushed.

The enemies of God will fall.
Jerusalem will remain the beloved city.

And Jesus Christ will remain exactly what He has always been:

KING OF KINGS

AND LORD OF LORDS.

👑 Every rebellion ends.
Every enemy falls.
The serpent is silenced.
The King remains.
