THE WHOLE VIDEO IS SPOT ON:
“We have movements that feel radical but function safely inside the system. We have protests that express anger but protect capital. We have activism that produces awareness but not redistribution. Nothing changes because nothing is forced to change.”
🚨BREAKING: ICE/Border Patrol agents were filmed assaulting U.S. citizens outside a HIGH SCHOOL in Minneapolis, pepper-spraying students as agents swarmed the school entrance.
Let that sink in.
School administrators and staff desperately tried to get agents off school property, while ushering students away from armed federal agents.
Chaos. Panic. Children running for safety.
And yes… agents pepper-sprayed STUDENTS.
This didn’t happen by accident.
This happened because the Trump administration stripped schools of their “sensitive location” protections, opening the door for ICE and Border Patrol to operate on school grounds.
In plain terms:
The federal government intentionally removed protections that once kept armed agents away from children, and now we are watching the predictable result… kids being assaulted with chemical weapons at school.
Outside a high school.
In broad daylight.
On U.S. soil.
This is not “border security.”
This is state violence.
And it’s being unleashed on children.

Leonard Peltier is granted clemency! He’s out of prison and commuted to home confinement. This is a huge win for grassroots Indigenous movements who kept his campaign alive and a moral indictment on the system and people who kept him unjustly imprisoned for half a century.
Today, Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI) and Cong. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) were joined by 32 of their colleagues in a letter to Pres. Biden strongly urging him to grant clemency to Leonard Peltier.
I was honored to meet with @ndncollective, @wecan_intl, and @IENearth at COP29. Indigenous communities are our Earth’s original stewards. I am with them in our shared fight for a just and livable future.
“In a span of just two weeks, a dozen Black men at Red Onion prison in Virginia took the same desperate measures, setting themselves ablaze. These are not acts of protest. These are human beings driven to extreme lengths, hoping for relief from torment.”

Updates from COP!
Honored and humbled to have been confirmed to serve as the Indigenous’ North America Representative to the FWG of the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform, a constituted body of the UNFCCC.
The NDN Collective delegation concluded the pre-COP29 sessions in Baku, Azerbaijan; the 12th Facilitative Working Group (FWG) meeting of the Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples Platform (LCIPP) and the Indigenous Peoples’ Caucus preparatory meeting.
We have a small team deployed in Baku, Azerbaijan for UN #COP29. When Indigenous Peoples have exhausted every avenue available through colonial institutions that have failed us, fighting for and obtaining international safeguards has been critical in advancing our rights.
Leonard Peltier is the longest-living incarcerated Indigenous political prisoner in U.S. history.
“Even here on election night we are holding Leonard Peltier in our prayers,” says @NickTilsen of @ndncollective, who continues to call for clemency. https://t.co/hAnwhBpIhF
NDN Collective has intentionally refrained from commenting on this year’s elections, acknowledging the grave consequences of a close race and the hypocrisy of a political landscape that supports genocide in Gaza.

🚨HAPPENING NOW: In the largest known boycott of "Israeli" cultural institutions, a coalition of writers, publishers, literary festival laborers, and book workers are refusing to work with Zionist literary institutions–and have invited the publishing world to join them.
Reflections on #ClimateWeekNYC 2024: Money, #Grassroots Power, Cocktails and #Agroecology
...while the momentum and energy of the event produced a sense of hope and inspiration, it also raised concerns about how we think about change.

@dallasgoldtooth@KamalaHarris 💯 Dallas!!! I don’t understand why there isn’t a concerted effort to push them towards real climate solutions if we are supposed to believe they’re our climate champions. Instead they’re moving further and further right.
