What sort of misguided muppets threaten @RNLI teams out preventing tragedy at sea?

They dont check immigration status, use a colour chart to decide on who they help.

They are VOLUNTEERS selflessly saving and preventing the loss of life at sea.

Sorry, but I disagree on this one. The RNLI’s mission is to save lives at sea. It’s the government’s job to decide who enters the country, not first responders. Expecting an RNLI volunteers to refuse a rescue is like expecting a paramedic to refuse treatment because of who the patient is, or a firefighter to refuse to rescue someone from a burning building because they’re squatting there. Frustration with immigration policy should be directed at those responsible for it, not volunteers who risk their lives in all weathers.

Today's highlights: glorious early skies, though clouds were foretelling rain. Midday rain was followed by some lovely sunshine. 100+ swallows & a few house martins swirling the trees & even settling on the rowan tops!

@helen_warlow When hubby retired after 35 years in Primary education he had 1000 of his own books in his class library. Every child in school (4yo to 11yo) was invited to choose up to 3 books each 'for keeps'. At the end of the day just 12 books remained... snapped up by a colleague!

@mary_rarehare We have a cat flap in the back door, which Thistle-cat can easily use. However, when he knows we are in, he prefers to 'yowk' loudly at the 'serviced' cat flap, aka the front door! It works every time, as we can't stand the noise & open the door to let him in!
