Again you have to ask: what does this mean? These players buying into a supposed siege mentality and yet they will be immediately out of the door the moment sanctions are handed down. Fans gloating about it all. Such a bad look for the Premier League.
🚨 Chris Kavanagh's controversial refereeing decisions:
❌ 2022: Rodri handball vs Everton, no penalty awarded. PGMOL later apologised.
❌ 2023: Ødegaard handball vs Liverpool, no penalty awarded. Howard Webb later admitted it was an error.
⚽ 2024: Stones' late winner vs Wolves, allowed despite Bernardo Silva being offside near the goalkeeper.
❌ 2025: Van Dijk's goal vs Man City — disallowed. Independent PL panel ruled it should have stood.
🟥 2026: Gravenberch sent off vs Man City.
@JamesPearceLFC They will actually face more competent refs in league 2. Therefore they will struggle when they have no known players left and not getting every decision
@Jamie_Cookk@ajtommo1991 Given Kovacic wasn’t sent off because “it would have ruined the game”. They seem to apply different rules to City. The never, ever end up on the wrong end of one of those.
You are telling me Guehis 2 hand balls on the ground did not warrant a yellow but Gravenberchs 2 tackles did? The refs ruin some amount of games in the PL. Becoming unwatchable.
I’ve been pretty angry with Ferrari on plenty of occasions this season. Silverstone, Budapest, Zandvoort to name a few, but today is next level. Today they weren’t crap, they actively screwed him over.
They would've had a very easy 2-3 and MAYBE put Max under a bit of pressure if they simply let Lewis past & then pitted him under VSC
Every spectator can see it. Everyone is confused why they didn't do it. So what's the explanation? Can we really blame incompetence?
You start Lewis on mediums so he's on the back foot on the start.
You pit him early, forcing him onto a soft tyre with more than 40 laps to go.
You bottle him up behind his teammate on slower tyres.
You don't let him stop under VSC.

For clarification purposes, Lewis wasn’t called to pit under VSC on lap 39. Leclerc was.
Shortly after the VSC Hamilton was reminded he was on Plan B and they were getting close to his pit stop. That was when he made the call to stay out in the hopes that another VSC would be deployed.
I believe that’s the call he is apologising for.

I’m sorry what?? Lewis decided to not pit under the VSC.
Okay. Well done Lewis. Didn’t put it on pole yesterday which you should have and now you throw away a P3.
Head is hot. See you guys in Austin.
Balance miraculously disappears in SQ3 and Q3
Pit Leclerc right in front of Lewis
Refuse to let a way faster Lewis, on a different strategy, past Leclerc
Refuse to pit Lewis, giving him 40 laps on soft tires
And yet nothing went wrong for Leclerc. What a coincidence!
