A new paper has just been published looking at very large hail (up to 5 cm in diameter) in eastern Scotland in August 2025, focussing on the role of cell mergers and topography ⛈️

A record breaking day of weather in the UK, and an impressive top temperature of 31.0C at KBM. 🥵
