Its important to remember that illegal immigrants are as human as you and I. Some fall into crime and end up hurting people. But there are also families; parents and children, each with their own stories and reasons for migrating. Maybe their circumstances forced them to migrate.

Empathy is a dogma killer. That's why MAGA Christians are going so hard against it. The moment you get close enough to someone to see their humanity, it's much harder to hate them. And MAGA needs their followers to hate the "other." So they demonize empathy, convince their base to ignore empathetic instincts in the face of inhumane policy and BOOM- their dogmatic ideology is protected.

This type of post is SO below the dignity of the office of the president. Presidents are not supposed to be this petty.

A true leader should be an example to their people. What kind of example is this? To behave like a high school freshman who gets upset at someone and then makes fun of that person online?

I find it amusing when people accuse me of having "TDS" for criticising Trump since it implies that he has that kind of importance. He's brash, crude and a controversy magnet but at the end of the day, he's just another self-serving politician to me.
