@assmy__ BROTHER when we were in Mallorca we had the exact same fucking experience where our taxi driver was looking at nude women while going NEARLY 100 KM AND HOUR
When I tell you I started fucking prayer and texting my friends I loved them
I stand in unwavering solidarity with the trans community, and I understand that the Supreme Court ruling has caused distress and uncertainty around the implications this may have for trans and non-binary individuals, particularly regarding how public bodies and organisations operate in relation to issues such as inclusion and single-sex spaces.
Of particular concern is the lack of consultation of trans voices in the process of the ruling, and no clear reference to or acknowledgement of intersex people who may not fall explicitly under the biological definition of ‘man’ or ‘woman’ cited by the Supreme Court. The line of separation drawn between what they refer to as ‘biological’ sex and ‘certificated’ sex risks furthering the divide between communities and ostracising already vulnerable individuals.
I would, however, like to reassure any trans constituents that they are still protected from discrimination, victimisation and harassment because of their protected characteristic of gender reassignment under the Equality Act 2010.
I hate living on TERF island. Fuck all those blood thirsty “gender critical” wankers who have pushed this through. Congratulations. Your bigotry is setting us back to dark dark times, and I hope you never have a minutes peace.
Today's ruling says this is NOT a win, and stated that nothing changes in protection of trans people.
Goes further to say that trans people are covered under sex discrimination of the gender they align with.
No laws or protections are changed by this ruling.
As a cis woman, a lesbian and a feminist, I stand with my trans siblings in the face of this disappointing verdict.
I will continue working with trans Young Labour members to push our government to defend the protections for trans people in the Equality Act 🏳️⚧️
The Supreme Court sided with FWS. But it didn’t hear from a single trans person.
This ruling sets a dangerous precedent and erases trans women from protections. It puts trans rights back 20 years.
We won't stop fighting for trans rights 🏳️⚧️
