Has a propper assessment been done on this stuff? The reps claim it lasts as long as you seal it every 2 years, but it doesn't even last 1 year before it starts deteriorating!

In Ottawa, the sentencing hearing resumed for Tamara Lich and Chris Barber. After being found guilty of mischief earlier this year, the Crown is now seeking 7 years in prison for Tamara and 8 years for Chris.

The defence is calling this what it is: cruel and unusual punishment. They’re asking for leniency, including an absolute discharge for Chris, citing their lack of criminal records and the fact that this was a peaceful protest rooted in Charter-protected rights.

This was not a violent uprising. It was a protest sparked by unprecedented government overreach into personal autonomy. Yes, it was loud. Yes, it was disruptive. But blame lies squarely with elected officials and police for the massive mismanagement that let it escalate. Canadians were standing up to decisions that deeply affected their lives, livelihoods, and freedoms.

So how did a protest, resulting in minor criminal charges, turn into the threat of nearly a decade in prison?

Also this week, Parks Canada revoked permits for an American Christian musician set to perform at national historic sites. Why? “Public safety concerns” tied to his political views. Since when do affiliations justify cancelling music in public spaces?

Then, a man in Nova Scotia was removed from an Air Canada flight for wearing a T-shirt showing a real photo of former PM Trudeau in blackface. Offensive? Maybe. Illegal or untrue? No.

To top it off, the federal vaccine injury compensation program has now been exposed for what it really is: a bureaucratic nightmare and, frankly, a fraud on the people it was supposed to help. Years later, most injured Canadians still haven’t seen a cent.

And once again, RBC froze my bank accounts—citing vague “risk concerns.” Just like 2022. No charges. No hearing. No explanation.

This is not about whether you supported the protest or not. It is about principle. It is about fairness, due process, the rule of law and the kind of Canada we want to live in.

What kind of country is this becoming—and are we okay with it?

This past weekend, the deadline passed for Canada to reject the World Health Organization (WHO) amendments to the International Health Regulations.

Canada did not reject these binding regulations, which would grant power to the WHO to influence Canada’s public health response during global health crises.

Not only did Canada fail to reject these amendments, there was also no Parliamentary discussion surrounding these changes, which have potential implications for our national sovereignty and our ability to respond as we see fit in times of crisis.

Countries such as the USA and Italy have rejected these amendments to protect their national sovereignty.

Canada, however, has doubled down. Canada has not only accepted these bidding regulations but also appointed an interim Chief Public Health Officer, Dr. Howard Njoo, who is the Vice-Chair of the WHO Pandemic Influenza Preparedness Framework Advisory Group.

Canadians deserve a government that cares about protecting our national sovereignty. Unelected international bureaucrats do not know better than Canadians, and should not have authority over how Canada governs.

Interesting thread. I think Pierre could win, but not if he keeps doing what he is doing.

What caused me concern after his leadership victory was how he continued to keep his distance from the serious government overreach, misinformation, political persecution, and harm Canadians endured at the hands of their own government. Families, friends, and neighbours were divided. Maybe early on, the polling didn’t suggest it was a winning issue but doing the right thing shouldn’t depend on polling. This was a moment that called for courage and conviction. If Pierre had stepped up then, he would have stood out as a powerful leader, not someone waiting to follow public opinion, but someone willing to shape it.

Yet as time passed, nothing changed. He was handed a winning platform to stand up for those affected by the very government he was seeking to defeat and to call out its outrageous, harmful, and even illegal misconduct yet he stayed silent when it mattered most. That silence gave the Liberals room to go even further, and they did. More corruption, more scandals. Quietly, Trudeau slipped away, and before we knew it, Carney stepped in to become Prime Minister.

If Pierre truly wants to lead this country, he needs to recognize that Canada is not the same place it was ten years ago and he cannot campaign as if it is. He must go big, bold, and different. Break away from the tired, reactive tactics. Inspire Canadians with a clear, unifying vision because right now, that is what we so desperately need. Trust in public institutions has crumbled, division has never been greater, and many Canadians are still processing some of the most traumatic experiences of state overreach in our history.

What Pierre really needs is an A-team of principled MPs, true patriots who won’t go quiet when things get difficult. He needs people who can amplify his message, step in with strength when he’s under fire, and help elevate him to lead effectively.

But most of all, he needs to stop treating concerned Canadians like a threat. He cannot afford to push away those who stood up, spoke out, and took the arrows when few others would. These are the very people who fought for Canada when it counted and instead of embracing them, he kept his distance. I once had the opportunity to ask Trudeau when he became so afraid of his own citizens. Now, I would ask the same of Pierre.

Only when he stops viewing citizens as adversaries, or as allies only when it suits him, will he rebuild trust and create the kind of momentum that cannot be stopped. That is what Canadians are waiting for. That is what Canadians deserve. And until Pierre recognizes this, the whispers about whether he is truly fit to lead will only get louder.
