Absolutely we should buy more manga and merch, naturally we are very fortunate to get season 3! Also smart idea would be to utilize crowdfunding for stuff like OVA or more episodes, recent Tenchi Galaxy (2026) and even director's Satou Jashin-chan season 3 were really successful example of this strategy working 🤑

I understand your point! But considering 100カノ is designed to be very long-running it likely will be years or decade until it's completed naturally, so it's expected and normal for anime to be behind, anime shouldn't be trying to hurry and bridge the gap with the manga 🙂‍↕️

Choosing to remove and skip so many stories in anime and prioritize only girlfriend introduction just breaks structure and pacing of story in anime format. Manga is specifically designed to dedicate a lot of time before girlfriend introduction to give large family of main characters attention they deserve, it's the key aspect of what makes Hyakkano work as a story, it's just as important as adding girlfriends. Without those in-between stories anime will not have any real depth to girlfriends, they will slowly become a background caricature and attachment to them will be weak in anime. For example anime already cut 4 stories were Chiyo had important moments and establish relationships with Naddy/Kusuri/Shizuka, we don't even realize how much she is missing her mother, so besides introduction Chiyo is not given any love in anime. Things will be fixed if those stories will get adapted in the future, but if not, those issues would worsen for everyone. Having less girlfriends per season but more time on existing characters will create more meaning and attachment not only from manga readers, but from anime-only viewers. Naturally both international fans and japanese fans will be happy to fund additional episodes, if the production committee calls for it. OVA/ONA could be a good way too, additional money can be even gathered by crowdfunding website like some anime production already do successfully. Hikaru Satou-sensei even managed to collect partial funding this way for Jashin-chan season 3. There is a realistic way to have a healthier structure for future 100カノanime without removing the crucial element of it's identity.
