I was pleased to be able to join @MovemberUK at Speaker’s House to mark Men’s Health Week.
Important conversations on men’s health, prevention and earlier support, and how we make sure men are better reached at the moments that matter most in life - including fatherhood.
The UK Government's plan to back UK steelmaking is working.
The market signal sent by the tariff proposals for 1st July has boosted UK steel producers back into profitability - even *before* the tariffs have come in!
This is good for the entire industry, because...

Always emotional to speak about my dear friend Jo and the impact she had.
It was wonderful to hear from her two children who spoke with such eloquence about their mum - and sister Kim, who is carrying the flame for the politics Jo fought for with such verve and passion.
It's therefore utterly staggering that the Conservatives want to make us a global dumping ground for steel by *delaying* the tariffs beyond 1st July.
With present safeguards expiring, this would take a slegehammer to our industrial backbone.
UK Govt must stick to our plan!

...Strong UK steel producers keep prices down for downstream importers - through basic competition / supply & demand.
So the UK steel industry collapsing would not only be a disaster for jobs & secuirty - but for downstream firms who buy steel from abroad.

By working with others to improve people's lives, Jo personified the very phrase that has defined her legacy:
"We have far more in common than that which divides us."
I spoke to @BBCRadioWales about her legacy 10 years on.
I remember my year in Parliament with Jo so fondly - her friendship, her support at work, and her children coming into our office, showing me their pictures of 🦖🦖.

Today marks ten years since Jo was killed.
We remember Jo as a mother, sister, daughter, wife, friend, campaigner and public servant. We remember her courage, her compassion, and her belief that we have more in common than that which divides us.

A pleasure to speak at the Local Pharmaceutical Committee Chairs Forum, bringing together local pharmacy leaders from across England.
Community Pharmacies are central to our 10 Year Health Plan, and shifting patient services from hospital into the community.
We're delivering 2,500,000 more NHS dentist appointments - and the biggest sustained increase in dental school places since 2007, with a dental school in every region.
Lots done, lots more to do on NHS Dentistry - incl. reforming dental contract - but we're making progress.
Should you have to choose between caring for someone you love and keeping your job?
As Minister for Employment Rights, I've launched a consultation on workplace protections for unpaid carers and parents of seriously ill children.
I want to hear from you ⬇️
We're determined to improve employment rights for unpaid carers.
Yesterday I heard about the challenges carers face as they balance caring and work.
Our consultation is now open so carers can help shape our framework: https://t.co/k4Df75XSJL

Fantastic to speak at a Net Zero Industry Wales event last week with @abports21
By working together, we can make the 2030s a decade of opportunity for Wales and prove that Port Talbot remains at the heart of Britain’s industrial future. 🏴🏴
11 years now as an MP with a mic-in-hand at various Labour events, and yet somehow this is my first ever double act with you-know-who!
Many thanks to @sarahsackman and Finchley & Golder’s Green CLP for inviting us, and to all the lovely Labour members for such a warm reception.
Today, we commemorate 82 years since the Normandy landings, beginning the liberation of Western Europe.
We honour the bravery and sacrifice of all those who fought and defeated fascism.
We will remember them.
With the Single Patient Record, NHS staff will be able to view your health and care history securely, wherever you're treated.
Here’s @PreetKGillMP with the key things you need to know.
