BVM SELLING PRESSURE FROM RUNIX

Many BVM holders reached out in the last 24 hours about the RUNIX/BVM selling pressure. I thought it would be helpful to clarify in one post.

The right question to ask is: how much is the selling pressure? Is it $100M? Or is it $1?

When someone wants to sell their RUNIX, there must be a buyer. In this case, the buyer is the AMM liquidity pool on Uniswap.

On the right sidebar, you can see the pool info. The current BVM pool size is 14,291 BVM (or $55K).

So, collectively, this is all RUNIX holders can sell now. RUNIX holders can sell all they want, but they are 'capped' at 14,291 BVM ($55,000).

Note that BVM's trading volume on Uniswap alone was $16M in the last 24 hours, and the total volume on CEX and DEX was $24M in the last 24 hours.

So the question is: is $55,000 selling pressure a threat for a token with a $24M trading volume?

Let's try to sell RUNIX. Hypothetically, if we want to sell 10M RUNIX, we would get 4467 BVM ($17,530).

So far, so good. Let's try to sell 100M RUNIX. Now you see that you'll get 13,613 BVM (or $53,410) with a massive price impact of 71%.

OK. Let's try to sell 1B RUNIX. You can see that you would get the same amount of BVM whether you sell 100M RUNIX or 1B RUNIX. Now, the price impact is 96.8%.

Even if you try to sell the entire supply of RUNIX now (21B), you still only get 13,613 BVM because that's all the BVM pool size is in the BVM/RUNIX pair.

We certainly don't think that RUNIX creates any selling pressure on BVM at all.

The follow-up question for RuneChain is: 14,291 BVM is a really small BVM pool size; how can we grow it so that people can trade more RUNIX?

Like BVM, RuneChain has to prove itself to be something people want.

RuneChain has to find its product-market fit. That's when more people want to buy RUNIX with ETH or BVM, and the BVM pool size will increase.

Still very early, but so far, I think RuneChain is doing great.

In the first three days, it earned $500K in trading revenues. Starting May 19, we plan to share 90% of the revenues with RUNIX holders.

If Runes becomes the biggest fungible token standard on Bitcoin, similar to how Ordinals became the biggest non-fungible token standard on Bitcoin, I think RuneChain has a great future.
