As always, it was a pleasure to meet UN Secretary-General António Guterres, whose steadfast commitment to the UN Charter and the cause of peace I deeply value.

We had a wide-ranging exchange on the serious challenges confronting our region and the world. I reiterated Pakistan’s firm belief that dialogue and diplomacy must remain our path to resolving conflicts and restoring peace, particularly in the Middle East.

I also reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and statehood, and shared our concerns over rising Islamophobia, as well as the growing threat of terrorism emanating from Afghan soil.

I thanked the Secretary-General for his appreciation of Pakistan’s contributions to international peace and security, our sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, and our ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and durable peace in the region.

عمران خان کی حکومت میں یہ وزیر تعلیم تھا۔ اس نے میرے خلاف کابینہ کی میٹنگ بعد عمران خان کے کہنے پہ پریس کانفرنس کی ۔ اور کہا کہ مجھے بیرون ملک سے ماہانہ 12لاکھ کیremittance آتی جو ایک حقیقت اور 30 سال آتی تھی اور میرے انکم ٹیکس ریٹرن میں ماقاعدگی کے ساتھ رپورٹ ھوتی تھی اور میں اس پہ ٹیکس دیتا تھا۔ اس الزام پہ عمران خان نے مجھ پہ آرٹیکل 6 کی کاروائی شروع کی اسکے بعد مجھ پہ نیب کی کاروائی شروع ھوئ اور پھر میں 6مہینے قید رہا۔ PTI کی حکومت کے دوران ھی ھائی کورٹ نے مجھے رہا کیا اور انکوائری اور الزامات کچھ بھی ثابت نہ ھو سکا ۔
یہ شخص پہلے PPPپھر مشرف کا وزیر پھر شہباز شریف کا درباری پھر PTi کا وزیر۔ اور اب کسی نئے مالک کی تلاش میں منتظر ۔
ضمیر اور وفا کے سوداگروں نے جتنی سیاست کی تذلیل کی ھے ۔ شاید جسم کے سوداگروں نے بھی اتنی تذلیل نہیں کمائ ھو گی۔

Had a warm and most cordial exchange with H.E. Mr Tarique Rahman, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, on the margins of UNGA in New York, this morning.

In our most useful discussion, Prime Minister Rehman and I agreed to further deepen Pakistan-Bangladesh bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity, education, tourism and people-to-people exchanges, while maintaining close coordination between our two countries on regional and global issues as well as at multilateral fora.

I also congratulated Mr. Khalil ur Rehman, Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, on assuming the Presidency of 81st UNGA and assured him of Pakistan's support in the successful conduct of the Assembly.

◼️ The circulation of an unsubstantiated claim by Taliban-linked media is another attempt to shape a misleading narrative around Pakistan’s self defence counter-terrorism operations. Propaganda claims without evidence cannot substitute facts.
