@rjjago I genuinely can’t comment on which First Nations should have been consulted. The Toronto Sun has quoted the Chief of the Qayqayt Nation being in favor of the change, but I believe your claim others should have been consulted as well.

@rjjago The coverage I have seen/heard/read all characterize it as a phased process that involves consulting the city & community. That process may very well find a majority of people want to keep the old moniker 🤷

No reason to not engage in the conversation and see though.

@rjjago I didn’t interpret the wording of the motion to say that it has been removed “fait accompli”, but instead the city now has the ability to begin the process associated with phasing it out. Is there a source somewhere that can confirm the old branding has been removed?
