Bro, Lets not kid ourselves. Its not like Western African countries live in harmony. Ivory Coast, Ghana Nigeria and other African countries have had migrant displacement actions. They were also violent and humiliating. It happened in Kenya and Ghana not so long ago. Nigeria gave Ghanaians and other nationals 14 days to leave. I've seen people complaining about foreigns having stalls in a market in recent weeks in Ghana. I believe instead of people using this protest as a catalyst to force change in their respective countries they would rather see it as an attack. Why cant this energy be used to fight for a better Africa. Instead its used to hate South Africa. What must a poor person from South Africa do when a poor person from another country takes the limited opportunity? Takes from the limited resources? Hunger can drive even the most sane man to do the wildest things. I do agree African leaders have caused this displacement. They now use this hate against South Africa for political posturing. They maybe gain some cheap votes while the poor soon enough look for alternative opportunities to surviclve.

I would love to see every African country prosperous, with no one being displaced due to anything but their free will. Why can't Nigeria be a bigger and better UAE?

South Africa is forcing its government to act. Now they are trying to enforce the law. I hope this lasts forever. No citizen should feel the need to protest an obvious issue. In a country with +30% unemployment and you walk into an establishment and you find the manager is foreign and has hired his/her compatriots. Same people later call South Africans lazy. I honestly believe just like in our sports we have quotas. Certain industries need to have quotas and with special exemptions when quotas cant be met.

My personal attachment to the cause may not be what every South African feels, but I get it. My brother we now even have Spaza shops mafias ran by foreigners. These people block locals from operating in certain areas/markets. Some people have died. Should the affected people of RSA sit back? I am sure you have experienced how useless South African Police aka "Cooldrink" can be.
