@LaurenWalshArt Been dreaming about a ‘the Old Gods only became warped and evil after the Titans arrived and the Titans are colonisers of Azeroth’ twist for a while.
@imreadingonly99@dmagoo1985@jk_rowling Ultimately, the facts are as such:
- JK Rowling clearly argues by implication that Khelif is trans. Her denial of this means nothing.
- There is no solid medical evidence that Khelif is anything other than a cis woman bar the IBA's testimony, and they have been discredited.
@imreadingonly99@dmagoo1985@jk_rowling Even the IBA hasn't published the full results of the test and they've completely failed to explain what tests they even performed.
'You can just see' is not an argument rooted in any medical science.
@ponettplus Like personally I think that MM’s new backstory is just a repeat of Hughie’s: a victim of being a bystander to a supe’s actions.
The backstory in the comic shows that the industry that creates supes hurts people on every level and gives another dimension to Vought’s evil.
@ponettplus I mean, personally I disagree with some of those and think they were done better in the comics, but that’s opinion. I wouldn’t describe many of those characters has having been ‘completely’ rewritten though. MM still fulfils the same narrative role. Stormfront is still a Nazi.
@shinosarna@ponettplus It’s literally not more like the comic though. They literally made Tek Knight’s story *worse* than it was in the comic.
This season is the logical conclusion of a show that never had anything deeper to say than ‘what if superheroes were bad?’
@worldofdarkness Guys I’m really sorry to be so harsh as I’m sure that people worked super-hard on this, but honestly either rebrand this away from the Bloodlines name or cancel it, because you’re looking at a disaster otherwise. The franchise name still has value. Preserve that.
