I think one of the most life changing things you can do is expose yourself to art & culture that isn’t made with Western and English-speaking audiences at front of mind. The world is so much bigger than our personal bubbles and you can learn something from anyone & anywhere.
btw in your 20's and 30’s you’ll start rediscovering the niche interests and hobbies you had as a kid. it’s very important you revisit them. your younger self was actually on to something.
It's a lot easier to understand fashion/ clothing if you think of it in terms of social language, not purely in terms of function or artistic expression. I will give you some examples. 🧵
