@FAANews Ridiculous that the 15 year olds running the FAA’s account don’t know the difference between a wing strut and a float strut or that it was impossible to not be talking to ATC (LGA Tower to be specific) given both the Class Bravo to the surface and the active TFR there.
@snarpdarp@JamesThV111 What you call “AI upscaling” is what the rest of the sane world calls intentional manipulation of real images to create a false narrative
@marcocholopolo7@ianmiles I’m 1000% for women being able to pursue any careers they want but the qualifications for positions in those fields needs to be the same irrespective of if the person is male or female. Canada is so DEI obsessed they abandoned this critical metric in favor of identity politics.
@factpostnews Omg I thought leftists couldn’t get more stupid. Really? Hydrogen peroxide in water killed mammals? Well we know who failed chemistry class.
@magcitrate@DelendaEst_II@aviationbrk Playing video games on your computer doesn’t count. Real pilots know all about CBDR, lack of parallax and blossoming. Plus the NTSB already did the math from the Houston crash - pilots can only perceive paragliders 2-3 seconds before impact but it takes 12.3 seconds to react.
@ChrisUniverse@aviationbrk It’s called science and physics. A similar (worse) incident occurred near Houston in Dec 2021. NTSB used physics/science to determine that the pilot would have only been able to visually perceive the paraglider canopy 2-3 sec before impact but needed 12.3 sec to react to avoid.
@Breaking911 Honestly it’s a miracle the bottom aircrew got punched clear. My dad was IG to a similar crash in Germany back in the 80s and the backseater was decapitated when the ejection seat punched him into the wingtip of the colliding aircraft on top.
@MattWallace888 For the love of all that is holy, please stop calling it Tarmac! It’s a runway, a taxiway, a ramp, or an alley. There is no Tarmac. No one uses that term but non-aviation people who are trying to look smart but end up looking ridiculous.
@profstonge As an attorney who is in front of judges all week long, I would LOVE to appear before a judge like this! It’s refreshing to see an adult show up and call out the elephants in the room.
@allenanalysis Never underestimate the ability of keyboard warriors to not understand how complex and challenging aviation is in non-combat situations, much less combat situations. Aircraft have mechanical failures for 1000 different reasons, none of which relate to pushing them too hard.
@real1jx@LauraOpines@libsoftiktok If you want people to know you’re not a lawyer and don’t understand the law, you can just say that. No need to embarrass yourself. Brandenburg has been repeatedly held to not apply if the speaker subjectively intended the communication to be a threat. Elonis v US.
@Francesca333L@akafaceUS I know, right? My old apartment in the Marais was in the 8th floor in what used to be the attic. Came in the portal door off the giant carriage doors, crossed the courtyard to the back staircase, climbed 7 flights of steps, then climbed the last set of steep mini-steps. Voilá!
