There is something truly special about summer in the St. Lawrence Corridor.
The waterfront is beautiful, patios fill up, and everyone is reminded why they chose to live and work here in the first place. From tourism and hospitality to local farmers markets and festivals, our region's businesses and communities come alive in the summer months.
The Corridor’s quality of life isn't just a perk of living here, it's what helps drive our economy forward.

A major strength of the St. Lawrence Corridor is the diverse range of industries thriving here and helping to drive our economy forward.
Sectors including advanced manufacturing, food processing, chemical production, wire and cable, logistics, and more aren’t just talking points, they represent jobs for our residents, investment potential, and long term prosperity for communities across the Corridor. A diverse economy means no matter what the market or world brings, the Corridor will be well equipped to continue to grow.
Diversity means resilience and that's exactly what we’re building here.

The St. Lawrence Corridor is one of the most affordable regions in all of Ontario to both live and do business. Both industrial land and capital assets cost 25% less on average than the GTA and 30% less than just across the border in New York. Commutes are shorter and the quality of life exceeds that of nearby economic centres.
For families, that means more financial breathing room. For businesses, it means stronger margins and room to grow.

The St Lawrence Corridor is one of the most resilient economic regions in Canada and this is due in large part to our supportive communities. Across the region our community residents share more than just geography, they share a commitment to one another’s success. Decision makers, local residents, and organizations champion the businesses that call this region home. This comes in many forms from local leaders cutting red tape and helping businesses to establish themselves to neighbours making the choice to shop local.
With the strong support of our Corridor communities, our local businesses are well positioned for success now and into the future.

Our Partner Spotlight series continues with our friends and partners in the Town of Prescott.
Nestled along the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, Prescott is a waterfront community that has positioned itself as Eastern Ontario’s next great investment destination while still maintaining that small town charm. The Prescott North End Industrial Park has 40 acres of partially serviced commercial/industrial land plus an additional 75 acres of development land available on the northern side of the highway. With strategic access to the 401, the Prescott-Ogdensburg International Bridge, and CN rail line, businesses in Prescott also benefit from increased connectivity to markets far and wide.
We are proud to call the Town of Prescott our partner as we work together to build prosperity along the river.

After 38 years as a Knight, I expected the organization to stand unequivocally with the Holy Father when a president mocked him. What I got instead was a carefully worded both-sides statement that valued political access over the principles we were supposed to embody.
“So, to every procurement leader, business owner, and supply chain manager reading this: ask your suppliers where their goods are made. Ask them to source Canadian where they can. Ask them to stand with Canadian workers.”
Congratulations to the Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal Mayor Tory Deschamps & council & special thanks to @SteveClarkPC for continued advocacy for the region - a great day for our economic development future! @cmignault@SteveClarkPC@DeschampsTory
Joined Acting Infrastructure Minister Todd McCarthy and Township of Edwardsburgh Cardinal Mayor Tory Deschamps & council today to announce the transfer of government surplus lands that will unlock new jobs and economic growth for generations to come.
It’s huge news as HFI Pyrotechnics Inc. has purchased nearly 2,500 acres to accommodate their expansion, ultimately adding 150 good-paying jobs!
Proud to have worked with the mayor & council to realize their vision of returning this land to productive use and capitalizing on opportunities for economic growth.
Thank you to Ministers McCarthy and Kinga Surma as well as our government for making it happen.

Success is measured by more than simply turning a profit.
At the St. Lawrence Corridor Economic Development Commission, we believe true success is found through businesses that thrive and grow long term while uplifting the communities around them. Setting a business up for long term sustainability creates a ripple effect of opportunities in the surrounding area, helping to strengthen not only the local economy but the lives of those around.
When local businesses win, we all win. Come succeed with us!
