Babe Ruth will never be replaced as the greatest of all time. He not only changed baseball but he saved it. His offensive numbers as a pitcher were well beyond any offensive player, percentage wise, than anyone since. His trade to the Yankees and his results there restored faith and interest in the game after the white Sox cheating scandal. His offensive prowess lead to changes that enabled others to succeed. The only other era which saw the kind of change was in the late 60s when pitching became so good...see Bob Gibsons 1.12 era season, that baseball lowered the mound to restore better offensive production. Ohtani is great, but can only ever reach 2nd best of all time, which is pretty amazing. His results should also lead to changes that could be made so that anyone can pitch at any time...imho
@TheRedStripesSG Pay their players a fair wage. Wtf are you babbling about? On my favorite team im watching a guy getting 42 MILLION dollars THIS YEAR hit .218. .218....42 million dollars. MINIMUM WAGE, i believe is 750,000 dollars a year. Even if that is wrong and its 250000, thats pretty fair
