EXCLUSIVE: Retired Border Patrol Commander Never Attempted to Enter Charlotte Bakery Owned by Colombian Activist
A North Carolina bakery owner who confronted retired U.S. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino this weekend claims he ‘denied entry’ to the former official.
On Sunday afternoon, Bovino and Border Hawk White House Correspondent Wid Lyman were conducting an interview in a Charlotte parking lot near Manolo’s Bakery when a man exited his vehicle and began heckling them at a distance.
“You’re not welcome in Charlotte!” the man hollered.
After asking the man to repeat himself for clarity, Bovino replied, “Well, you’re not welcome in my country."
"This is my country. I will be welcome in my country anywhere I want to.”
The man then identified himself as the owner of nearby Manolo’s Bakery.
Manolo Betancur, a Colombian national with U.S. citizenship, is also the founder and president of By Immigrant Hands, a Charlotte-based nonprofit organization.
Betancur and Bovino sparred verbally for nearly 20 minutes in a roadway adjacent to the bakery.
Toward the end of the encounter, Lyman thanked Betancur for his time and asked him if the bakery was open, expressing interest in making a purchase.
Betancur stated that the business was closed for HVAC repairs, before adding, “I choose who is coming in.”
“Oh, you wouldn’t let me in?” Bovino asked.
“No, bro,” Betancur replied while shaking his head.
Moments later, he claimed, “Everybody is welcome here.”
On Sunday evening, Manolo’s Bakery issued a press release addressing the encounter and inviting media inquiries.
“Manolo Betancur Denies Former U.S. Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino Entry to Manolo’s Bakery,” the release stated.
“On Sunday, August 23, Manolo Betancur, owner of Manolo’s Bakery and longtime advocate for Charlotte’s immigrant community, confronted former U.S. Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Gregory Bovino at the bakery and refused to allow him inside, telling him he was not welcome at Manolo’s Bakery, on its property, or in Charlotte.”
Bovino has slammed “disinformation” being published about the interaction by mainstream media.
“Manolo recognized and approached me, not the other way around. He first said his bakery was closed due to AC problems and then changed when Border Hawk asked to buy a bakery item,” Bovino stated in a reply to Queen City News on X.
“So no, I never tried to ‘gain entry’ into the location that, for reasons known only to Manolo, shut down during [Operation] Charlotte’s Web. Any guesses why this ‘businessman’ would shut down during an immigration operation?”
Betancur has claimed his bakery suffered losses of $50,000 - $64,000 during a brief immigration enforcement blitz led by Bovino in the Charlotte area last year.
🚨UPDATE🚨
The State Department tells me, "Under President Trump and Secretary Rubio's leadership, we are making clear that a visa is a privilege — not a right. We are coordinating with DHS to identify and revoke the nonimmigrant visas of foreigners who have come to the United States claiming to be short-term visitors, but then file for asylum to stay here permanently. These types of visas are issued with the clear understanding that they are for those who intend to return home. Obtaining a visa in order to seek asylum is fraud - which is grounds for visa revocation. This is an ongoing process as we uphold the integrity of our visa and asylum laws." - Tommy Pigott
Woman says when she was in high school she was told to say she couldn’t work during Covid. She says high school students, including herself were receiving $2,000 every 2 weeks
She was able to save up $20,000 from free Covid money in high school to buy an ambulance for $5,000 to live in as a tiny home
She’s talking about the expanded Pandemic Unemployment Insurance program that paid out of work Americans about $1,000 per week, they made $4,000 per month
High schools students should not have been qualified for anywhere near this amount
Just imagine this abuse nationwide and how much we paid out to people defrauding the system like this nationwide
WOW 🚨 Foreign born man in California caught setting up fraudulent hospice companies and working with mortuaries to get the names of dead people to bill Medicare
- He stole $27 MILLION
- California didn’t care he misspelled his hospice company names, one was spelled “Holly Trinity"
- He bought a Rolls Royce
- His patients were dead people
- He billed $33,000 per patient per year
“Prosecutors are also charging 2 accomplices — the manager of a mortuary, who gave David Shachar names of people who recently passed in exchange for cash”
This is the exact type of fraud Nick Shirley was investigating and exposing and Democrats just made it illegal to investigate in California
Gavin Newsom signed the Stop Nick Shirley act shock will protect these foreign fraudsters stealing our tax money in the future
🇺🇸🇮🇱 Foreign cash found a side door... Israel is now buying ads on Ted Cruz’s podcast.
He can’t take the money himself, but under a quiet licensing deal, that revenue gets routed to a super PAC that exists for one purpose: keeping Ted Cruz in office.
It's a legal loophole that turns foreign ad dollars into campaign fuel.

Today while running my usual Saturday errands I saw a woman sitting on the sidewalk of a busy shopping plaza.
That scene alone is pure invasion decadence and it pissed me off.
She was “selling” school fundraising chocolates. I walked up and asked the price. She immediately rattled off an entire overpriced menu depending on how many I wanted to buy.
That was all I needed. I asked her straight up why she was reselling school fundraiser candy and jacking up the prices. The conversation that followed is in the subtitled video below.
What stood out most was the entitlement. Spanish was clearly not her first language ;she struggled with it , and my guess is she’s an Ecuadorian native. Language barrier or not, the attitude was pure entitlement. She even had the nerve to question why I was aggravated.
Bottom line: I saw with my own eyes how fast these people get annoyed when you expose them. That reaction just gave me more energy to keep doing this.
While I was recording her I kept hearing Commander @GregoryKBovino’s words: “illegals need to feel uncomfortable so they self-deport. “I thought I understood that before. Today it hit harder.
I don’t care what their ethnicity is.
I want ALL ILLEGALS OUT.
They are here for the wrong reasons, abusing the system, disrespecting the laws, and disrespecting the citizens of this country.
WE NEED MASS DEPORTATIONS NOW!
I know...right, not even trying to hide the Nepotism there. Added she might be a total dip shit.
Reminds me of saying "Better to stay silent and be thought a dumbass, than opening your mouth and removing all doubt." Or something like that...
