March 1, 2026: Utah Highway Patrol responded to a rollover crash involving two people. One was ejected and died; no seatbelt was worn. The other had minor injuries. Buckle up and drive safely.

March 1, 2026 | 12:20 P.M. – Magna crews responded to a kitchen fire that spread to four units. Fire was contained by 1:20 P.M. Approximately 7–8 residents were displaced. No injuries reported.

A trailer fire was reported on eastbound I-80 in Parleys Canyon. The fire is out and the cause is under investigation.

Officer-Involved Shooting – Taylorsville
Feb. 26, 2026 | 2:17 P.M.
Police responded to reports of a man firing a gun inside a store. Officers from West Valley City, Salt Lake City, and Murray assisted.
Two people were hospitalized in stable condition. The suspect is in custody.

#UPDATE The DPS Helicopter responded to the scene to get an aerial view of the scene. It sounds like a total of 2 possibly 3 people injured. At least one of those was from a #GSW. Detectives and Investigators should be arriving setting up a command post shortly.

#BreakingNews #OIS 4455 S 2700 W. #TaylorsvillePD responded to the State Liquor Store on reports of an Active Shøøter. On arrival TPD determined this was NOT an active shøøter but an Officer Involved Shooting. There are injuries but not sure on the extent. Stby for updates. Media stage at the south end of State office Bldg 4315 S 2700 W.

Feb. 26, 2026 | 11500 S Bangerter Highway
A multi-vehicle crash has reduced northbound Bangerter to one lane. Expect heavy delays. Use 12600 South as an alternate route.

Garage Fire – West Valley City
Time Dispatched: 4:35 a.m.
Crews responded to a garage fire near 3853 South 3700 West. Firefighters arrived to heavy smoke and flames. The roof collapsed during suppression efforts. The fire was put out at 4:55 a.m.
The cause is under investigation.

Fire crews responded to a residential fire and found heavy smoke inside the home. No visible flames were reported.

The Eagle Mountain Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire at a townhome complex.
Upon arrival, crews confirmed visible smoke coming from the building
