Slater and Morello from Brent Sass's Wild and Free Mushing are the Sled Dogs of the Day! These two rockstars pulled Brent in to Nome early this morning to a first place finish in this year's Iditarod. Congratulations to Brent, Morello, Slater, and the whole team!

Pink from Brent Sass's Wild and Free Mushing is the Sled Dog of the Day! Pink is a very happy boy who LOVES to be around people. Last year, he and Brent finished the Iditarod in 3rd place. Right now, he's currently in the lead with his friends and family, headed to Ruby!

Ridge from Karin Hendrickson's Blue on Black Kennels is the Sled Dog of the Day! This goofy 2 year-old is a true Iditarod rookie and is having a great time on the trail so far. He is described as a bit of a knucklehead by Karin - he's currently resting in McGrath with his team!

Hermione from Riley Dyche's Dark Horse Racing Kennel is the Sled Dog of the Day! She is currently on the Iditarod trail with her friends - she made it over 800 miles on the trail last year! Many might recognize her as the sister to Crunch and ATAO's Emmy. Go Hermione and Riley!

Ryan Redington's lead dogs (brothers Henry and Senior) are Sled Dogs of the Day! These two are intelligent, experienced, and all around incredible lead dogs who are pros when it comes to the Iditarod. Both of them are currently with Ryan as he runs towards Nikolai!

Apok is the Sled Dog of the Day! He led Apayauq Reitan into Nome in 2019 and helped her win the title of Rookie of the Year for 2019’s Yukon Quest. Today, this sweet boy sets off with @Apayauq1 as she becomes the first trans woman to run Iditarod!

Happy Iditarod 2022! Granite is the Sled Dog of the Day - he led Susan Butcher to victory in Nome in 1986, 1987, and 1988. For his role as an outstanding lead dog, he was given the Lolly Medley Golden Harness Award in 1988!

I'm not close with my family, so my dog friends are my family. I own 8 dogs of Jaye's breeding and am watching 11 dogs of hers while she's in Alaska at her house in NH. This tragedy sits with me as it it was my own dogs involved. Any help or boosting is so much appreciated.
