There are still people successfully selling the idea that a virtual mall "metaverse" is the future, despite the fact it looks like it was spewed out of the original PlayStation...

I'm about to name names for teams that have a 9-figure market cap and a product that either...

a) only exists in video form and still somehow looks like hot garbage or...

b) is a "working" product but has no users and gets less engagement than my personal account.

How have we not learned this lesson?

The "metaverse" won't be your mall.

It's not going to be a virtual shopping experience of any kind, guys.

We have Amazon. I can have product on my doorstep SAME DAY in ONE CLICK.

NO ONE is going to download your app and wander through your empty halls just to buy something they can get on Amazon.
