First, Jews have always lived in the Holy Land (Google: "Old Yishuv").
Starting in 1880, the Zionists did not invade the land or steal it from the Arabs, but immigrated legally both under the Ottoman Empire and under the British Mandate. The Zionist Jews settled in empty desert lands that they bought and managed to turn the desert of the Middle East into a paradise.
The Muslim Arabs had the opportunity to establish a state alongside the State of Israel but they rejected the UN partition plan and tried to push their Jewish neighbors into the sea. Instead of establishing Arab state, they repeatedly declared wars and lost. Israel did not ethnically cleanse the Arabs or persecute them, it simply protected the Jews from another holocaust.
