Part 2 - medium step to colored transparency on Sega Megadrive.

In the prior vid we showed what Highlight and Shadow could achieve on sprites. In this vid I've added Layer A green transparency behind the Shadow and Highlight sprites.

Next step , hollow out the Shadow & Highlight to allow green bits to show through and mask off green outside of the sprite - eg it wont be a rectangle of green shade then. Also aiming to get red transparency and blue transparency added to this.

Theretically we could have 9 transparent shades via this overlaid technique.

CPU is very low even though its doing the work for Layer A - the green transparency , using about 15% cpu all up so far. Running 60 FPS.

Are they awful (at least the 1st two)? No.

There are much worse games from that era. I personally have pretty fond memories of playing 1 & 2 with my family after finding them cheap.
