@Disentegration0 Lmao incredible
I take a leave of absence for a few years and everything goes to shit in the meantime. Very cool. Might consider just selling my blasters tbh
"Like an elderly man whose powers are failing, the Habsburg Monarchy sought to recover its youth by a display of vitality...internal action had come to nothing; action in foreign affairs had to take its place."
the reason this is one of the greatest pieces of humor our combined scenes have ever seen is that the real shit is mixed in w the slander entirely at random. truly a case study in jokes
Unfortunately this comes with the comorbidity of our "post-sick" culture--a population of players who have been told to camp harder, play lamer, let the other guy do something first. Dash-dancing under a platform. The romance of the unoptimal, expressive playstyle has faded. Combo vids and highlights are staged, passรฉ, impractical. Now there are YouTube guides and tier lists, coaching from old heroes. Bad players. Incurious minds. Dim brains fervently grasping to make their mark on a dying world. To push against the earth on which they have so little power, and to feel it give way. To win quietly, without impressing anyone, and silently wait for the glaciers to melt. Waiters. Needers.
I don't even really think it's the game's fault. Kragg was designed a decade ago. Every game like this somehow needs a silly SSJ2 Fox simulacra to dangle in front of Melee players as if to say "Look! Now you can be good at TWO games!" How were they supposed to know this game would be the de-facto flag-bearer for comp plat fighters in the modern age? I don't think anyone in their right mind would have designed this today. But all these characters were made 15 years ago, when creative and cool movesets were the differentiator, and now I face a playerbase of very creative downholders mashing their very creative reversals. It's my problem now
