@ChrisBlec@lootquidity I'm not advocating separating people into groups based on vaccination status. The question was about the threat non-vaxxed people pose. And getting on a cruise ship isn't a right, but I wouldn't expect to be able to do it without getting vaxxed for awhile.
@ChrisBlec@lootquidity I think that's how it will end up playing out. Most people will be incentivized to get the vaccine by corporations denying them access to certain things without proof of vaccination
@ChrisBlec Absolutely. But the disease loses its ability to mutate if we can break the chains of transmission, and our best hope right now is mass vaccination
@lootquidity@ChrisBlec If you can get away with being a free rider and not get the vaccine while most other people get it that's probably the best for you from a strictly self-interested standpoint.
@lootquidity@ChrisBlec Yes, I guess the question itself is flawed. Unless we're all walking around in spacesuits breathing our own personal air, everybody is a threat to spread respiratory diseases to other people. Breaking the chains of transmission is our best chance of getting things under control
@ChrisBlec If the unvaccinated person is an asymptomatic carrier of a vaccine-resistant mutant strain, he could spread the disease to a vaccinated person
