This Dr saga reminds me of when a relative was admitted into a psychiatric ward.
My dad and brother went to visit. A young Dr greeted them and led them to his office. He then asked for the patient’s surname, he was told and he promptly pulled it from his records.

He then sat down on the Dr’s side of the desk and explained in granular detail and terms what was wrong with our relative and how the medication they’ve now put him on would assist.

Just then a man walked in and bewildered he shouted at the Dr to take off his coat at once and go back to his bed!
That’s when my Dad realised that underneath the Dr’s white coat, the “Dr” was in hospital pyjamas.
True story.
