Crazy how these people are taking the "piss in lemonade" literally when companies put lead in gasoline for years after knowing it was bad for humans, solely because it was easier and cheaper than finding new ways to boost fuel octane.
First, this just ignores that fraud is illegal. Selling contaminated or misrepresented products isn’t capitalism, it’s a crime.
Second, if this were how capitalism actually worked, piss would be in everything. It isn’t, because businesses survive only if customers willingly come back. Reputation, repeat business, competition, and liability punish dilution and reward quality.
What they’re describing isn’t markets. It’s a fantasy where consumers have no choice and producers face no consequences. That world doesn’t describe capitalism. It describes state protected monopolies, regulatory capture, or outright fraud, all things capitalism depends on not having.
Capitalism doesn’t reward cheating customers. It rewards serving them better than your competitor.
The first rule of a rational business is to recognize that if you don't serve the customer well, someone else will.
BREAKING: UFC fighter Brandon Royval, after refusing to fight at the White House:
“I don’t give a fuck about any of our political figures right now, and it’s like to fight in front of them seems like some fucking ‘Hunger Games’ type of fucking shit. I don’t give a fuck to fight in front of some fucking billionaires and rich people that could give a shit less about me. Probably throwing parlays. Fuck you guys.”
Bro is in pre K and his parents have already instilled the valuable lesson of "Since you can add 1+3 you're a math genius. People will tolerate you being a jackass because of this"
My son came home with a Pre-K report card; I read it and was thrilled. My husband read it and was baffled.
I read it and anchored on the lines that really matter: “He excels quickly in all his math assignments and has mastered the math and reading concepts presented.”
My husband focused on the extra full page on “social emotional growth” commentary and looked confused the whole time. “What does any of this mean?”
“Nothing,” I said. “Ignore it.”
And then that evening we explained to our son the lesson that is going to get him through his life: “People will put up with many things if you are excellent at math. You’re so good at math. We’re proud of you.”
And that was that.
There are many important posts going viral today about the tragedy of young men. Combatting the systems that seek to destroy their nature begins in the home, and it begins young.
I don’t care about the “social emotional growth” of my sons because I know what values we’re instilling in them. Telling them what really matters begins with dad and mom.
The family can be a reprieve from all the nonsense. It requires constant vigilance, but it’s the first step in preparing them for the madness outside.
the richest man on the planet is telling you he’s giving up his time to fix the government by firing everyone, cutting aid around the world, and ending entitlements
he wants everyone else to suffer while claiming he’s “helping” when in reality if he truly wanted to help he could literally end world hunger or provide free internet to the entire planet
there are a bajillion things he could do to make a difference and instead he chooses to take take take from everyone else
and these dumb fuck magats are cheering him on as they lose their jobs and financial portfolios
