A big thank you 🙏 to #SloughFort supporter Kevin for donating these fireplaces. As our volunteers restore key spaces, period features like these help us tell the story of life at the fort in Kent - imagine guards warming themselves at fireplaces like these 🔥

Today was the first #SloughFort Open Day of 2022! It was a great success! We were lucky enough to welcome Councillors from @medway_council & Allhallows Parish Council to celebrate the official opening of the Guard Room, with the ceremony undertaken by @KellyTolhurst. A great day!
@KellyTolhurst Hi Kelly, it was great to have you down today, thank you very much for coming! The Trust and all our Volunteers thank you for your time today and your continued support of our Project, and we hope to see you down again soon!
Some of our Volunteers hard at work on the Central Fort.
Our Volunteers are central to what we do, and we couldn’t achieve what we have without them - so thank you all!

It’s #GardenWildlifeWeek !
At Slough Fort, we love to support the local wildlife however we can - that’s why we’ve reintroduced bee colonies to the site.
Our bees help pollinate our Orchard, as well as all the wildflowers we have.

Last night we celebrated the beginning of #QueensJubilee with a Beacon Lighting, accompanied by Musket and Cannon Fire from the Sheppey Pirates. An amazing event, enjoyed by all.

Here’s a view of the East Wing Battery when we first started clearing the debris from inside - it’s a huge change to how it is now.
