@BasedMikeLee Again, you're avoiding addressing any of the substantive granular theological points people are making.
Pointing to source material is not, per se, an argument.
@BasedMikeLee With your passionate and ongoing response to this debate, we still haven't seen you address the substantive theological reasons why society doesn't categorize the Mormon religion as Christian.
@binchpower@BasedMikeLee America loves Mormon people. We grow up together, we we fight for freedom together, we are steadfast friends. Everyone knows that Mormons are the friendliest people.
But none of that makes you in the same category as Christian. You're a different religion bro, just embrace it.
@usawtfm Every time I see these. Bad judgment from driver + VC. I always told my driver to slow the fuck down, take turns slow, don't try to negotiate obstacles we weren't comfortable with, etc. I don't care if the rest of the convoy is getting too far ahead.
@peoples_unicorn Agree, but 99% of course maps, including WOCS', are low-quality 1:50k, which nullifies much of terrain association, a huge part of the skill. I have actually never seen a high-quality 1:10k topo on an Army course.
@hotscots_app@USAGFortGordon Condemned buildings full of mold and asbestos while trying to finish the shiny new campus centerpiece. Signal school's got many problems and unfortunately for the foreseeable future the goal as a student is to graduate and pop smoke as fast as possible π’
@rickdicksonreal When the chow hall is good, and you pay $4 to $7 for a meal that would cost $15 to $30 out in town, I thank God and the American taxpayer!
In my opinion, land navigation is one of the best ways to assess a Soldier, NCO, or Officer as an individual task.
It starts with being familiar with the tools (map, protractor, and compass).
It progresses to attention to detail when plotting points, establishing their route, and applying time management.
Then it culminates with their ability to take that two-dimensional plan and apply it to reality.
Another great thing about land navigation is that the skill floor is relatively low and the ceiling is unlimited.
It is very light on resources required to train, as well.
No wonder a lot of units incorporate land navigation into their assessment and selection process.
Our real take, but Soldiers living in the barracks are treated very differently than those with families.
They're told they're responsible for the poor conditions Sunday formations at 2000 to clean what leadership won't or can't fix because of many reasons we've explored.
If barracks conditions are such a problem that it justifies ruining weekends, we'd love to see those senior leaders move in until the mold, broken HVAC, and everything else gets resolved.
The road goes both ways.
@Asst_to_the_RM I keep saying, if the Army wants to learn how to keep the barracks clean, you just have to look at the Marine Corps. It's something they do really really well. CSM can ask any prior service Marine, and he/she can explain exactly how to do it lol.
@sacstacks@luke_leisher_ If you get in an airplane to simulate a zero-g environment, and you sprinkle some water drops, what shapes will those drops form?
