Indigenous youth ages 15 and over have a much lower Education success rate ( 43% do not have any certificate) compared to their counterparts across Canada which is only 23% (Chiefs Assembly on Education, 2012). #justice4indigenous #education

Did you know that about 74% of schools on reserves require MAJOR repairs? Some of these repairs include plumbing issues, electrical shortages, and overall issues with the structure of the schools (Chiefs Assembly on Education, 2012). #justice4indigenous #education

The Indigenous community is Canada’s largest growing population, yet majority of their schools are underfunded. The average funding for a child living on a reserve is 20-40% lower compared to the average non indigenous child (Charleyboy,2017). #justice4indigenous #education

At provincial schools in Canada, the graduation rate is above 75%. For students who live on reserves, the rate is below 40% (National Post, n.d.). #justice4indigenous #education #letsmakeadifference

Did you know that about one-third of Indigenous peoples do not have a high school diploma? And only about 8% of Indigenous people aged 25 to 64 have a university degree?

Poverty rates are highest for Indigenous children on reserves in Manitoba at 76% and Saskatchewan at 69%, a study proved that poverty on reserves worsened by 2010. (Kirukup,2016) #justice4indigenous ✊🏼✊🏼

A 2009 report by UNICEF has shown that Indigenous children are twice as likely to be hospitalized for preventative diseases, on top of denial of care altogether due to government loopholes. (Edwing,2014) SPREAD AWARENESS #justice4indigenous 💙💙
