Swiss Airlines flight attendant dies after being in intensive care following emergency landing of LX1885 on 23 December.

During the flight from Bucharest to Zurich with 74 passengers, there were engine problems and smoke in the cockpit and cabin.

The aircraft landed at Graz and stopped on the runway where an evacuation was carried out. A rescue helicopter took the flight attendant under resuscitation on board and flew him to a hospital.

There has been no information so far about the exact cause of the problems during the flight. Based on the initial findings, a technical defect in one of the engines was the probable cause, Swiss merely stated.

The public prosecutor's office in Graz has opened an investigation into possible negligent bodily injury.
