We would like to take this opportunity to thank our local Keady Credit Union for all of their ongoing support in the community and, in particular, towards our annual summer camp. It really is greatly appreciated by all ππ»
I said to the Derry lads around me, βDonβt worry, theyβll blow it.β When it went to penalties, I was taking bets. Kieran hangs over his teams like a ton weight. Fifteen years (Kildare, then Armagh) without a trophy. Maybe management is not his forte? https://t.co/9opyUycncr

Hurling Recognition Award - Eoin McGuinness @ShamrocksNewry
Β
After a dedicated 10 year county career, Eoin decided to hang up the hurl at the end of this season.
The full forward first came into the panel in 2013 and has been one of the most consistent performers in that time.
Question: βHow will we develop hurling in these counties?β
Answer: βWe will reduce the opportunities for their hurlers to participate at inter county levelβ
π€π€π€
Aye makes sense
The GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee is recommending that counties with fewer than five adult hurling teams should compete in the Lory Meagher Cup only from 2025 onwards.
If Central Council passes the recommendation in December, it would see Cavan, Fermanagh, Leitrim, Longford and Louth confined to the fifth-tier competition, halving their inter-county season from six to three months.
Louth are the only one of the counties that will play above Lory Meagher level this year.
The other three months would see an increased focus placed on hurling development on those counties.
Is this a good or a bad step, and who is driving this move?

Tomas Galvin with an unbelievable goal last night. If you need us, we'll be watching it on repeat πΊ
Our U13s had a good win yesterday over Slaughneil, in the TΓ‘in Γg Division 1 league. It was a very competitive game & the boys hurled well. Many thanks to Emmet's GAC for the game & to Derrylaughan for hosting. As always, thanks to our parents for for travelling. Well done, boys!
the story of Anthony Daly going into a pub in Blackpool one night and having a fuss made of him and an auld fella at the bar goes βand how many all Irelands did ye win?β βTwoβ says Daly. My man takes a sip and says βweβd a fella did that in a fortnightβ RIP Teddy Mac.
I really wish referees would start giving frees against players who blatantly put their arm up into the tackler and simulate a foul. The bane of the GAA in both codes just now
