@graue They also need to fix the mixing zone southbound at Milton. I do it almost every day with kids and it is very scary seeing cars whizzing off the freeway in my direction.
@drivingmzstacey Yeah, agreed about San Jose. Only problem is the mixing zone by St Mary's northbound. I take it with one of my kids almost every day, and every time I pass that mixing zone I hold my breath.
@drivingmzstacey You can take that route to San Jose and then go on to Valencia / 17th to avoid Cesar Chavez.
Still probably not as good as highlighted route subbing wiggle.
@drivingmzstacey I cut out Woodside/Portola to get from GP to Sunset/West Portal and I couldn't be happier. Instead I take Monterey to Hearst via Genesee. Advantages: fewer hills, very pretty, Hearst is slow street, lots of stop signs on Monterey. There's still a bad stretch of Monterey sharrows.
Had our first experience with @DriveKyte to get the family out to Yosemite last week. It was great! Between their service and our ebikes there is 0 reason to own a car. Would be cool if they let you donate your old car in exchange for xx days of rental cars a la kars4kids.
@LukeBornheimer@graue@hunterrible @Eeeszy @DeanPreston@fimazaltsman I worry that the rpp move will benefit the mostly wealthy garage owners in the city, many of whom probably own cars. I bet most who own a garage for bike storage (as I do) are riding public transit and can afford a yearly muni pass. FTR, I'd be in favor of rpp, garage or both.
@DrewTumaABC7 my son asked why Chenery between Miguel and Diamond is consistently cold and verrrrry windy no matter the weather in the rest of the city (even today!!). Any ideas?
@DannySauter@agarwal This just in: after receiving a letter from the one principal in his district who still smokes cigarettes, @D4GordonMar moves to allow smoking in all elementary schools.
@jessenoller That's what I read, so I cooked the heck out of them, but couldn't kick the smell (and they tasted bad too). I think they were too old or something. My partner was quite displeased with the lingering funk in the house
For clarity they were from a local supplier NOT from Humble.
