What they did not do is simply remove the male character and insert a female for some corporate check list.

I really enjoy playing as female characters. I typically pick them when given the opportunity.

But this isn't about that at all. I want to play a God of War game as KRATOS. Not his wife, not even his kid. KRATOS.

And frankly, mythologies are so interesting, I would love a game about a female god (or male, that's fine too). But this isn't even that.

It's a corporate box-ticking exercise and anyone with a brain knows that. Nobody asked for this.
