$SOC After looking over the docket for a few hours I have to say I am surprised there is not more buzz around Wednesday. IMO one of the most important dates so far in Sable's career. I have summarized my thoughts below:

@HowieDennison The main question that I hope will be answered soon. Sable took a gamble not requesting emergency repair permits from CCC so they could hold strong on the original permits being sufficient which would allow them to avoid the regulatory hurdles and being at will to the enviros.

@HowieDennison So here we are a decade later with much stricter regulations and improved technology, and even with valves installed the CCC is encouraging this pipeline to rot away.

@HowieDennison I think it is ironic that in the original Refugio oil spill plains was found guilty of being negligent in failing to properly maintain the pipeline. While yes, all repair work is done, keeping the pipeline up to date is now the primary concern and currently can not be done.
