STOP TRANSFERRING PUPILS … Teachers Union of Namibia vice president Tjandero Tjituka calls on the government to immediately stop the practice of transferring pupils to the next grade without them meeting the requirements. He says this is one of the biggest contributors to the country's high failure rate. He made these remarks during the National Council standing committee on education, science, information and communication technology and youth development's ongoing briefing session with key stakeholders at Otjiwarongo on Thursday.

@oldtimewatcher @Merlot_mami @ndafikals Yes, it is. Perhaps they don't understand some words and might better understand when the Nama speak it. There are so many words and phrases in Khoekhoegowab that I don't understand, even though I had learned the language until grade 10.

@Merlot_mami @ndafikals You are correct Khoekhoegowab is a combination of Namagowab, Damaragowab and Haiǁom. These are 3 different dialects. For example my mother tongue is Namagowab. We don't speak Khoekhoegowab at home. It's a language we were taught at school which is different from the homelanguage.
