I got rekt on AskJimmy yesterday ($ARC Launchpad) and want to reflect on it.

The mistake: Poor execution.

Instead of waiting for the first dip, I got carried away by the rapid price surge. The token opened at ~$20M, but extreme volatility led to multiple failed trades.

FOMO kicked in.

I finally got my transactions through—but at a price that was already 3x from the open. I didn't even realise that the price was this high as I was busy with getting my transaction in—a stupid mistake.

Of course, early buyers took profits.

In my "post mortum analysis" I found that several wallets managed to buy $1M+ around the $20M area, and they wiped me out. They had better execution (probably bots, despite the anti-snipe mechanism), while I was manually buying via Jupiter like a noob.

I gave them my liquidity.

Key Learnings:

1) Trading is like a sport. If you take a break, you rust. You need to warm up before jumping back in with real money.

2) Never trust an anti-snipe mechanism. There will always be someone faster. That said, the $ARC team’s system helped, or I would’ve been obliterated.

What’s Next?

I originally set up a new wallet for the trading challenge and wanted to start with AskJimmy, but since I’m now sitting on a loss, I’ll have to hold. That means my trading wallet is stuck.

So, I’m setting up a fresh wallet with new funds and restarting my trading challenge. Back to the grind.
