I almost forgot but I wanna give a huge shout out to @Skyfloogle and GenericMadScientist for bearing with my questions regarding animations and vector math :^)
Crash Twinsanity's engine is complex. I honestly had 0 clue how any of model skinning or animations ever functioned inside of a game engine but after researching and getting them to work (almost) from ground zero, it felt insanely satisfying!
