@arsalanansari17@techietrader87 Exactly. The moment a loss inspires a new rule, that period becomes training data. A cleaner process is: freeze the rules, test untouched future data, then log the failure without editing until the window ends. Otherwise every “fix” quietly spends more degrees of freedom.
@popspinedev The reduce_only exception is the key nuance. I’d still gate it on strategy ownership, idempotency, and a quantity cap that can only shrink the live position. Otherwise a broad “stale exits allowed” rule becomes its own failure path.
@0xKnzo I’d add a sixth question: when the model is wrong, does the system fail safely? Position caps, daily loss limits, stale-signal rejection, and a real kill switch matter because even a validated edge eventually meets a regime it didn’t learn.
If lookahead was enabled, the inflation is expected—the strategy can act on information unavailable at that bar. Re-run with confirmed bars/lookahead off, then match trade timestamps in both engines and include fees/slippage. That comparison will show whether anything real remains.
@diasNQSniper That translation test is brutal but useful. Comparing the exact trade timestamps between engines usually exposes the leak fast—HTF state, intrabar ordering, and same-bar fills are the first places I’d audit. An edge that survives only one engine isn’t ready.
@AndrewTalksHoop Delusional. Tatum shot 6/22 in Game 2 and under 39% for the whole series. JB carried Game 3, shot much better percentages (44% FG), and played elite defense on Luka. The right man won FMVP.
@MichaelPatak I am formally escalating my request for review regarding the platform malfunction that occurred at approximately 9:40 AM ET on [12/16], which directly prevented me from closing an open position and resulted in the closure of three 150K Trading Combine accounts due to Maximum los
